E.J. Sanchez, M.D., F.A.C.C., R.P.V.I., C.C.R.P.

Dr. E.J. Sanchez is not only one of our principal investigators but also our director of operations. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is very knowledgeable of his field. Dr. Sanchez earned his medical degree at Universidad Central del Este in San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic. He completed his residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Richmond, a university hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.Dr. Sanchez is an American phlebology diplomate, a certified clinical research professional (CCRP), a registered vascular technologist, and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. Aside from that, he is a member of the following organizations:

• American College of Cardiology
• American College of Physicians
• American Society of Nuclear Cardiology
• Manatee County Medical Society
• Society of Nuclear Medicine
• The Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA)

Sherif Z. Mehanny, M.D., F.A.C.C., Ph.D.

Dr. Sherif Z. Mehanny is one of our respected principal investigators at the center. He is board certified not only in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease but also in echocardiography. Dr. Mehanny obtained his medical degree at Ain Shams University’s School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency at Vincent’s Medical Center of Richmond, a university hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Mehanny is an American phlebology diplomate. He is affiliated with the following:

• American College of Cardiology
• American Society of Echocardiology
• Manatee Medical Society

Dominick A. Calabria, M.D., F.A.C.C.

One of our esteemed principal investigators, Dr. Dominick A. Calabria is an American phlebology diplomate who received board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He received his medical degree at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO as well as completed his residency at the Department of Medicine of the Rhode Island Providence. Currently, he is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Manatee County Medical Society.
